Most departments and universities already utilize varied versions of student feedback when assessing teaching efficacy; however there is a wide array of criticism for the standard STudent Evaluations of Teaching (SETs) or rating systems. Here we share specific assessments and guides that help incorporate student voice into our overall evaluations of teaching effectiveness in a more scholarly, equitable, and actionable manner.

The student evaluations used by TEval-participating institutions and departments have taken many forms from standard issue end-of-semester surveys like Student Ratings and Student Input to Classroom Interviews and Student Letters. On this page we hope to share a brief description of each type of student evaluation we've used, a link to a single example of each evaluation, and links to further examples for each type of student evaluation.
